The responses to the consultation on the transposition of directive 2006/24/EC final phase have been published.
The consultation process closed on 31 October 2008 and the responses are now available online for download.
The final phase of the directive is on retaining data generated through electronic communications or public communications networks.
The aim of this directive is to ensure that certain data is retained so that public authorities can investigate, detect and prosecute crime.
