NI35 Guidance
Self-assessing local performance against NI 35: Building resilience to violent extremism – Guidance for local partners
As the Prevent agenda has evolved, local partners have identified a need for further guidance to enable them to more accurately assess how well they are performing in delivering activity to prevent violent extremism.
The Government has produced guidance to meet this need, with the aim of supporting local partners in undertaking self-assessment against NI 35 by providing:
- Detailed performance descriptions that expand on (but do not replace) the four criteria in NI 35 (NI 35 itself remains unchanged)
- Suggestions about the type of evidence and information that can be used to support the self-assessment
- Examples of how local partners have taken forward elements of the strategy.
This guidance builds on work undertaken by the Government Office for London and the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
